Propeller's notifications are designed to notify providers and care teams when a patient under their care may need to be contacted or attention. By default, those with a Propeller Provider Portal account will receive a daily digest email informing them of new notifications triggered in the last 24 hours, every morning at 6:00 am US Eastern Time.
If there has been no patient activity in the last 24 hours that triggers a notification to a provider, no daily digest email will be sent. You can request to have email digests turned off over the weekend. Watch this video to find out how!
The following notifications will be enabled by default for the Provider Portal
Poor Adherence notification
Patient has missed 4 consecutive days of all of their preventer medication dosages, and their sensor has sent a heartbeat to the Propeller app or hub. When a patient has a Poor Adherence notification and resolves it by taking a preventer dose, the Poor Adherence notification transitions to the ‘Resolved’ state.
A patient’s Asthma Control Score transitioned to Not Well Controlled or Very Poorly Controlled
A patient's control status is determined by their level of reliever inhaler usages or symptoms logged.
A COPD patient has become ‘At Risk’
A COPD patient's use of their reliever medication indicates they may be at risk of an exacerbation.
