Propeller's notifications are designed to notify providers and care teams when a patient under their care may need outreach or attention. By default, those with a Propeller Provider Portal account will receive a daily digest email informing them of new notifications triggered in the last 24 hours, every morning at 6:00 AM USA Eastern Time.
If there has been no patient activity in the last 24 hours that triggers a notification to a provider, no daily digest email will be sent. You can request to have email digests turned off over the weekend. Watch this video to learn how:
The following notifications will be enabled by default for the Provider Portal:
Poor Adherence notification
Patient has missed 4 consecutive days of all their preventer medication dosages, and their sensor has sent their heartbeat to the Propeller app or hub. When a patient has a Poor Adherence notification and resolves it by taking a controller dose, the Poor Adherence notification transitions to the ‘Resolved’ state.
A patient’s Asthma Control Score transitioned to ‘Not Well Controlled’ or ‘Very Poorly Controlled’
A patient's control status is determined by their level of reliever inhaler usages or symptoms logged.
A COPD patient has become ‘At Risk’.
A COPD patient's use of their reliever medication indicates they may be at risk of an exacerbation.
